Posted on April 12, 2013

Bet there’s some R&R and TLC for your selves after two weeks with kids’ over their holidays. Need a holiday of your own? Captain Cook Holiday Village has is a great place to ease the stress away in relaxing style and comfort. But I hope you’ve enjoyed the school holiday time with the family.

If you get in quick there are still a few cheap and fun activities for the school holidays to enjoy.

There’s the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum welcoming everyone. Located on the corner of Goondoon & Bramston streets, Gladstone, the galleries are open Monday to Saturday from 10am till 5pm with five exciting exhibitions. All of which have their own children activity. The Pioneering Women: the Russian Experience offers kids the chance to make their own doll, this closes tomorrow. The Japanese styled exhibition, 2013 Intercity Images: Gladstone Saiki Photographic Exchange, runs till the exhibitions close on the 4th of May; learn how to make paper henna dolls or ninjas.

The exhibition also has on display till this Monday all entries offered by primary school artists from competitions held in January. Don’t miss the chance to see eminent talented young artist work; some really great entries. Find the next Picasso, Rembrandt or da Vinci in the making. This event, held annually is called Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition.

Another Discovery Coast Markets event is planned for April 14th on the SES grounds. Head down, check it out and snap up a bargain of fruit & veg. Rummage through the stalls and see what you can find. Don’t forget the old faithful snag in bread too.

Let’s look to the beach, surf and weather now because you can’t go past it at Agnes Water.

Per usual the weathers hovering around the 26-27 degree mark over the next week offering a nice amount of sun. A few days look to be great beach days, especially towards the end of next week.

Today’s surf is choppy and rough, a bit tricky on the boards today. It looks, though, that it’ll even itself out throughout the day so give it a look and see what it’s giving you. If you’re confident the swells big today so get out there, over the week it’ll continue to settle. For those who are after an easy and relaxed surf maybe best to wait a day or two.

Till next time thanks for stopping by, enjoy yourself from the Captain Crew Holiday Village crew at Agnes Water.
