The Mid-point of holidays, hope it’s not going to fast!
Posted on June 28, 2013Hello, I hope you are all relaxed through the holiday period and having a fun, safe time. The weathers turn on the charm for outside activities which always helps.
Speaking the Agnes Water weather, the following and final week of holidays looks to be much of the same being mostly sun. Nothing to ground breaking on the mercury hovering around the 21-22 degree mark but that’s lovely in the sunshine. I recommend whipping out the boat and fishing, if you aren’t a local and don’t know the fishing holes there are guides and tours you can book.
The last weeks been nice on the beaches and more importantly on the waves and it looks to continue. Today’s surfs nothing to exciting but if you’re a beginner or just looking for a peaceful, relaxing surf this is the ticket. The swell will pick up as the week goes on so good signs ahead to get holidays goers out and about.
I have to mention the State of Origin, turns out first game was a fluke. Well done to the boys, looking like another series in the bag. In local rugby last week had no game on for the Agnes Waters own Marlins as they took to the bowls. What are great season we are having, just not sure the skills translate well to the art of bowls. The boys keep getting better and better though.
On another note, Keep Queensland beautiful search has begun. Congratulation to last year’s winning town, Longreach. The competition acknowledges the town that takes pride in recycling and keeping the streets clean. I don’t want to start campaigning but let’s put 1770 on the map with the winning title of Tidiest Town and Friendliest Town 2013. Click here to register and nominate Agnes Water.
That’s this week blog, have a fun rest of the holidays and let us know what you have planned on Captain Cook Holiday Village Facebook page. Till next time, enjoy yourself!
