Posted on September 5, 2014

Hello to another week’s blog from the lovely small Queensland holiday town of Agnes Water, 1770. School holidays are only one week away; we hope you have your plans sorted with some of the great and fin activities on in Agnes Water. Let’s see what the town is unto this week.

Firstly, the weather over the next week looks to be absolutely perfect, The daily temperature tops will average around the 25 degree mark, with the days filled with sunshine. Spring time has hit the small town and the conditions are great to get the family out and about these school holidays.

To the Agnes Water main beach and the waves over the next week – the waves will be small, around the foot mark at the beginning of the week but will pick up as the week goes on. It will be good beach conditions to get the young ones on the waves, or great conditions to pull out the fishing rod and reel.

This Sunday, the 14th of September, the Annual Bomber Classic will be held at the 1770 Golf Course and the Discovery Coast Markets will be open at the SES Grounds.

Speaking of schools and school holidays, in some other exciting news for 1770 the plans for the new local Discovery College School are on target. Principal Damian Higgins shared plans for the new school, discussing the curriculum, subjects, uniforms and teachers. He also gave updates on the schools progress, confident the school will be ready and have its doors open in January 2015.

That’s all for this week’s crews log for 1770. Until next blog, enjoy yourself and the awesome weather!
