The countdown to the school holidays starts, what to do?

Posted on June 14, 2013

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog for Agnes Water 1770,

Hope you enjoyed the long weekend and we are in the countdown to the weekend again, four day weeks fly by. Only one week until the school holidays, they come around quickly. Find out what is on in the town of Agnes Water to keep the whole family entertained and under control, plenty of great activities that won’t break the bank.

What’s on starts with the weather and it is looking good. Its sunny days ahead for the week with the temperature around 20 degrees, a little chilly but perfect in the sun. The UV will be out in force so don’t forget to triple S – slip, slop and slap yourselves.

The planets must be aligning, not only do we have great weather ahead but the surf is looking. Today the waves are breaking beautifully so dust off the wax on and get out there. You will find breaks for any experience level so even if you are a beginner or expert make use of the conditions. These waves look to be staying strong for a few days too, at least for the weekend.

If surfing isn’t your scene the rod and reel is always goes alright. Take it easy this weekend with some local fishing. I haven’t been out there in a while but have seen some big ones caught, huge Red Emperors.

The home town boys of Agnes Water, the pride of 1770 rugby’s Marlins brought home the goods last week in a ripper of a match. Support the Marlins as they take on Miriam Vale this Sunday at Gin Gin, jump on the band wagon with the team in winning form. The weather is set to turn it on and the boys should too.

Thanks for stopping by for this week in Agnes Water, enjoy yourself from the Captain Cook Holiday Village crew. And, give us your thoughts on Agnes Water and things to do these school holidays on our Facebook page.
