Rudd or Abbott? No… Agnes Water these school holidays
Posted on September 26, 2013Hello and happy spring, I love the weather and hope you are too. Tomorrows the big showdown between Kevin and Abbott, seems like all the talk though is on Clive Palmer and his patented twerking skills – it’s a cut above Miley Cyrus. Politics and dance moves aside, the weather has been absolutely beautiful and it looks to continue.
Let’s have a look at what the weather has planned for 1770 this week. Through your vote in the box asap to enjoy the days sun, tomorrow should notch 24 on the mercury with sun. The rest of the week looks much the same but it will heat up a bit towards the end of the working week, around the 26 degree mark – a sign of the weather to follow.
The surf could be better to go with the weather but it is early days of the season though. The swell is the highest it has been for a few days. The waves are nothing to write home about – but enough to blog about – it is easy surfing today with 2ft waves on the menu. If you won’t to take it easy and relax it could be the ticket, with a bit of fishing of course.
Two weeks until the school holidays, it comes around quick. Any plans? My recommendation is what Agnes Water has to offer. It looks to be great sunny days, relaxed and filled with family friendly activities. This town has the Queensland weather and still maintains that unique outback Australia feel, down to the point of having kangas and the iconic bush turkeys. Huge amount of fishing and surfing spots a short walk from where you will be staying. There are great national parks and walking tracks for the ultimate family picnic adventures, try something new with kite surfing or a trip on the great barrier reef.
Let’s hear what you have planned on the crews Facebook page. From all of us at Captain Cooks Holiday Village, enjoy yourself… till next time.
